I thought I'd start my blog by sharing a bit about me and how I became a willwriter..
Many years ago, I trained as an accountant and for a few years I even was one until a computer company in the 80s decided that my numeracy would be a perfect background to selling wholesale banking software in the City of London. I continued to work in the Tech industries until I was made redundant in 2009. Time, I thought, for a switch in careers.
A friend of mine, realising my predicament, suggested that I became a Willwriter. He said that it would suit me well as I enjoy meeting people and my accountancy training would make the financial concepts easier to understand and explain to clients. After thinking about it for a while, I applied to the Society of Willwriters and Estate Planners based in Lincoln, and embarked on a series of training courses with them. After much cramming and examining, they accepted me as a member and the rest, as they say, is history.
If you have any questions or just need a bit of advice, get in touch; It would be great to hear from you!
Until my next post....
